Privacy policy
Effective date: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what information the TEAM Development app ("the app") collects, how it is used, who can see it, and the choices you have. The app is operated by CE Nichols LLC ("we," "us"), 909 Wynnwood Lane, Papillion, NE 68046.
The app helps teams build self-efficacy through assessments, assignments, self-talk audio tracks, and progress tracking. It is used by team owners, team leaders, team members, and invited observers (such as a parent following a member's progress). This policy covers the app on Android, iOS, and the web, this website, and the online services behind them.
By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

How we use information
We use your information to run the app and for no other purpose:
- Provide the service: create your account, connect you to your team, deliver assignments and assessments, and show your progress.
- Build team results: combine members' assessment scores into team radar charts and completion counts that leaders and owners can see.
- Create self-talk tracks: process your voice recordings into a finished audio mix.
- Send notifications: tell you about new assignments, assessments, and team activity.
- Handle subscriptions: start trials, process payments through Stripe, and manage plan changes and cancellations.
- Protect the app: prevent fraud and abuse, confirm requests come from the genuine app, and keep the service secure.
- Support you: respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or use your recordings or content to train artificial intelligence models.
Voice recordings and videos
The app uses your microphone only when you choose to record a self-talk track. It never records in the background.
- You record your script one paragraph at a time. Each paragraph is uploaded to our secure cloud storage.
- Our server combines your paragraphs with background music into one finished track.
- The raw paragraph recordings are deleted as soon as the track is made, including when processing fails.
Who can hear your track: only you, by default. A track is shared with a coach or leader only if you choose to share it. Playback uses temporary, expiring links.
How long tracks are kept: you can delete a track at any time. A track nobody has played for 90 days is archived, and its audio file is permanently deleted after 365 days without being played.
Scripts you write: if you choose to let a script be published or reused, you can opt out of having your name attached to it.
Assignment videos: videos that owners and leaders upload are visible to the members they are assigned to. A video nobody has watched for one year is permanently deleted.
Payments and subscriptions
Paid plans are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your payment details into Stripe's secure form, and Stripe stores them. We receive only a customer ID, subscription ID, plan, and payment status, which we use to turn features on or off.
New teams start with a 14-day free trial. If you cancel, your account and teams move into a grace period before paid features end. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how it handles your payment information.
Who can see your information
Inside your team. The app is built for teams, so some information is visible to others:
| Who | What they can see |
|---|---|
| Team leaders and owners | Members' names, assignment completions, assessment results, team radar scores, and progress |
| Coaches | Self-talk tracks only if a member chooses to share them |
| Parent observers | The progress of the one member they were invited to follow |
| General observers | Team-level progress for the team they were invited to follow |
Observers can join only with a one-time invite code that a leader or owner creates.
Service providers. We use these companies to run the app. They process data only on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase / Google Cloud | Sign-in, database, file storage, server functions, push notifications, App Check, and hosting this website |
| Google Sign-In | Optional sign-in with your Google account |
| Sign in with Apple | Optional sign-in with your Apple account |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active, and delete it on these schedules:
| Data | How long it is kept |
|---|---|
| Raw voice paragraph recordings | Deleted as soon as your track is made |
| Self-talk tracks | Until you delete them; archived after 90 days unplayed; audio deleted after 365 days unplayed |
| Assignment videos | Deleted after one year unwatched |
| In-app notifications | Deleted after 30 days |
| Account, team, and progress data | Until you delete your account |
| Payment records | As long as tax and accounting law requires |
Deleting your account. You can delete your account and its data in the app under Settings → Delete account, or by following the steps at teamdevelopment.app/delete-account. You can also email support@teamdevelopment.app. We delete your account, recordings, tracks, and progress within 30 days, except records we must keep by law. Content you shared with a team, such as completions in team totals, may remain in anonymized form.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on Google Cloud. Access rules limit each person to the data their role allows, and App Check blocks requests that do not come from the genuine app. Recordings are played back through temporary links that expire.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children's privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Members aged 13 to 17 should use the app only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and a parent may follow their progress as a parent observer.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact support@teamdevelopment.app and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct your information: view and edit your profile in the app, or ask us for a copy.
- Delete content: delete your self-talk tracks at any time, or delete your whole account.
- Control sharing: choose whether to share a track with a coach, and whether your name appears on published scripts.
- Microphone and notifications: turn these permissions off in your device settings at any time. The app works without notifications; recording needs the microphone.
- Leave a team: ask your team leader or owner to remove you, or delete your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to processing. To use any of these rights, email support@teamdevelopment.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app before major changes take effect.
